Over the past year, Sketch Rabbit and The Bluenoser have become connected by a simple idea — using music to help put books into the hands of children. I’ve been using money earned from my performances to purchase and donate Sketch Rabbit books to organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, the Stollery Children’s Hospital, charities and community organizations, while continuing to perform at senior centres from coast to coast. What started as something I was simply doing on my own has gradually become a much bigger part of what both Sketch Rabbit and The Bluenoser are about: using my music, books and creativity to give something back to communities across Canada.
